Synthetic Turf is a great eco-friendly landscape improvement and because of statewide conservation efforts, tax incentives make the upgrade more affordable than ever. Below is a table that outline some of the incentives that are currently being offered by local authorities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are the most common question we receive regarding the synthetic turf and installation process.
Synthetic grass is made from polyethylene, polypropylene, and/or nylon yarns. These materials are extremely durable and are UV stabilized for minimal fading and deterioration. The yarn is tufted into a polypropylene backing cloth, then coated in a layer of urethane for maximum durability.
Yes. The backing is perforated with small drain holes throughout. The holes allow for highly effective drainage, preventing any pooling during the rainy season. One square yard will drain 7 gallons per minute.
Yes, all synthetic Turf can get hot on days above 80 -90 degrees in direct sunlight. The infill used during the installation will help bring down the heat transfer to the blades.
The infill offers a “G – Max” which is the softness under your feet. The infill also helps protect the blades and acts like a barrier during activity.
Yes. Tiger turf is made from the highest quality yarns – no lead or heavy metals. All our turf meets state and federal regulations regarding toxin content. (MSDS, test results, and other safety-related materials are available upon request) Pet waste and urine will not stain the turf or damage it in any way. Urine drains through to the Turf into the soil below.
Yes, but you need to realize the majority of the work is in demolition and removal of the existing sod, dirt and roots. The base prep is the second part of the install as well as grading and proper drainage. There are resources available to install it yourself but for a few dollars more you can get it install correctly and much faster from Ocean Pavers.
It is not required. You can either cap the sprinkler heads or cut small access holes in the turf to keep them in. Leaving your sprinkler system active is a great way to be able to cool off the Turf in the summer. It is also a great way to give the grass a quick rinse and also rinse any pet urine from the Turf.
Compared to a natural lawn it will be virtually maintenance-free. The amount of maintenance varies depending on usage and location, but all synthetic lawns require some care to keep them looking new and fresh. If the lawn sees a lot of foot traffic and activity, the grass blades may get matted down. This is easily dealt with by brushing lawn with a power broom every so often. As with a natural lawn, debris should be removed when necessary. If the lawn gets excessively dirty, it can simply be rinsed with water.
This depends on how often your pets use the turf and how often you rinse the area. There are products to add to the soil before we install the Turf. This will help eliminate any odors. It’s a natural mineral which absorbs ammonia, the chemical in urine that creates the odor. For a thorough cleaning spray the Turf with a 50/50 solution of water and vinegar.
The manufacturer’s warranty is for 8 years and covers any defects occurring in the quality of the turf. Contact us and we will be happy to provide a copy of the warranty certificate.
You can figure out your ROI by adding how much you spend annually on water and landscape maintenance. Compare this to the price of your synthetic lawn (initial cost divided over the duration of its life – usually 15-20 years). An average synthetic lawn project can pay for itself after the first 4 years.
You can order the turf at any length up to 100 feet long. The width is 12 foot or 15 foot wide rolls. Always keep in mind the 15’ width when preparing or measuring an area. Example: for a 20’x30’ (600 sf) area it would be best to order 40’ of turf (2 pieces 15’x20’).
Be sure that you keep fires, open flames, cigarettes, and any hot surfaces off and away from the turf. The turf does not burn (won’t hold a flame), but it can melt at temperatures above 130° C (320° F).
No chemicals or fertilizers needed.
